The squash ball is made from rubber and has a diameter of approximately 4cm.
The hollow ball contains a drop of liquid gas which creates an overpressure when heated.
The ball must be played warm at the beginning of the game to reach its full bounce.
A ball with a red dot bounces strongly and therefore is easier to play back against the wall.
